Former Red Sox general manager, Theo Epstein has agreed to a 5-year deal worth more than $15 million (according to WEEI’s John Dennis). They have yet to formally grant him a title. He has been a general manger for the Red Sox for the past nine years. Epstein still has one year left on his contract with Boston, which means the Cubs will have to compensate the Red Sox for Epstein’s services. This move comes a midst the MLB playoffs, which the Red Sox missed out on due to an epic collapse at the end of the season.
